City frame/Rama miasta
City frame: is a site-specific art project done by Anna Garasko, artist and researcher based in Poland in collaboration with Olga Trebuhina @sianukvilj, Latvian architect and artist. The project emphasized the role of art in public space of the city, occupying the old telephone kiosk in one of the main squares of Wroclaw Referring to the aesthetics of the ads posters and banners, City Frame encloses an image of Wroclaw’s true “heart”, an area, where the city is rooted - Cathedral Island The artwork reflects on the sophisticated coexistence of different times, epochs, styles, cultures found in one city and addresses to the question - what are the elements that create and preserve a city’s special character through the centuries?
